Josh McDaniels:
“The best team will win... whichever group plays the best will win.”
“We talked to a lot of different people, team who have been over here, in terms of what they've done in the past. We chose to have three good practice days back at our facility, to have normal preparation for our players, and then to go ahead make the trip (here) with what we believe is going to be enough time for us to get our bodies adjusted.”
“We're very excited to be here and we're looking forward to being able to represent the Broncos and National Football League here.”
“I saw Big Ben on the way over here from the airport... and a pretty famous bridge.”
“We're ready to handle whatever (the turf) ends up playing like. We're going to go over there tomorrow and have an opportunity to see what it is firsthand... the players at least understand that there may be some slipping and some sliding.”
“The team travelled great. We think that everybody that's here should be ready to go and capable of playing. We hope to have a full strength team.”
“We watched a lot of tape on Troy Smith this pre-season. He's a passer that can run, not a runner that can pass... He can extend plays with his legs. We have to do a good job with discipline in the pass rush to keep him in the pocket.”
“It's an important game for our season no matter what, whether there's a bye week or not...(but) that week always goes smoother when you're coming off a victory. It's important for our players (to go into the week nine bye) feeling like they can build off a performance rather than fixing something that's happened.”
“We've put a lot into this week and this is an important game for us.”
Kyle Orton
“It was a good flight. The team is good, the guys are focused... we're ready to play an important game in our season... We won't be tired at all.”
“The rain can be an advantage for the offense in terms of double move routes. (You can get) cheap touchdowns now and then. The wet ball doesn't really affect me too much, it's nothing to worry about.”
“I think it'd be great to get a team over here - London's a great place to expand.”
“It's a week to week deal no matter what (happens in the previous game)... When you come off a disappointing effort like we did last week it takes some soul searching. And we've done that.”
“(This series) is good for the game. At some point you've got to grow the league.”
“My own personal development is down to being with this team for two years... we've got a talented cast on offense and Josh's system is a good system for quarterbacks to be in, you know. I'm having fun in my second year of it.”
“Last Sunday was an embarrassing loss, an embarrassing performance for us... Whenever you go and play like that, you want to go and get right back on the field and make the corrections.”
