Q&A with 49ers' Frank Gore
by Michael E Lawrence
October 27th 2010
Q. What do you think is the main issue with the 49ers so far in 2010?
A. We've just gotta stop beating ourselves.
Q. Do you feel any extra pressure with this QB change coming so late?
A. Um, I don't know - I think Troy Smith will do a good job. The guys around him have to lift him up, let him know we're there for him. Go out there and play hard and, you know, just try to be ourselves.
Q. What are you going do off the field to lift this team up?
A. Just tell them to be themselves man, you know, whatever we do this week in practice, just carry it over into the game. You know, the way we've been practicing we've got a great opportunity to have a good game - so just go out there and play like it's practice, go out there and have fun.
Q. With Troy in, do you expect to see eight, nine defenders in the box and if so, what do you do about that?
A. Well if they do, you know, we'll get 'em out of there.
Q. And your preparation so far in London - different or trying to keep it as business-like as possible?
A. Try to keep it business-like you know, but it is real nice over here and I'm enjoying it and looking forward to Sunday.
